Our students were thrilled to welcome former NFL player Amobi Okoye to campus for the start of Read Across America Week! He captivated a group of our 3rd-5th grade Beanstack superstars with a reading of “If Kids Ran the World” by Leo and Diane Dillon, sparking a lively discussion about the differences between the world kids built in the book and reality.
Beyond the book, Mr. Okoye shared his personal journey, emphasizing the importance of education and the strength in asking for help. His inspiring message resonated with students of all ages as he walked through the school, encouraging them to pursue their dreams and take their studies seriously.
