Next week, Aldine ISD students and staff will take part in Red Ribbon Week, the nation’s largest and longest-running drug prevention campaign. This year’s theme, “Life is a Puzzle. Solve It Drug Free,” is a call to action, encouraging students to make healthy, drug-free choices.
Throughout the week, schools across the district will host a diverse range of activities and awareness campaigns. From posters to wristbands, and other resources, AISD aims to engage students and families in a comprehensive approach to preventing tobacco and drug use.
The district invites families and students to show their spirit each day by dressing according to the daily themes. Let’s come together and show our commitment to a drug-free life.
- Monday, Oct. 27 – Be Brave, Be Drug Free: Wear red to show your commitment to a drug-free life.
- Tuesday, Oct. 28 – We’re Too Bright for Drugs: Wear neon colors or sunglasses.
- Wednesday, Oct. 29 – Drugs Can’t Find Us in Camo: Dress in camouflage- or military-themed attire.
- Thursday, Oct. 30 – Healthy Body, Healthy Mind: Wear sportswear or fitness gear.
- Friday, Oct. 31 – Team Up Against Drugs: Wear your favorite sports team gear.
